BESPOKE
COURSES.
Theses
courses are tailored to suit the individual requirements of every
student. Unlike
other classes, where the student is required to follow a set
syllabus,these courses are based on, the standard of ability already
achieved by the student and the skills they wish to
acquire. Applicants
who have prior experience
will be required to furnish photographic examples of their
work to date so a suggested curriculum can be submitted for their
approval. Classes
will consist of no more than 2 students,this will ensure individual
attention from the tutor. All
studio facilities are made available to the student but it is
suggested,if possible, that they supply their own metal and stones.
A secure locker is provided for this
purpose. COURSE

SUBJECTS: Settings: Construction
techniques of various settings
and the basic methods in the setting of these
examples. Ring Shanks:
Construction
techniques of at least 4 various ring shank
styles. Collection
Development: Principals involved in
the development of master-patterns,molding and wax production.
Production methods for producing multiple pieces of a Jewelry
range Finishing
Methods:Polishing and surface
finishes. Advanced
Techniques:Soldering and
bench-work methods. Forging and
Smithing:Basic silver-smithing
methods as applicable to jewelry. Pricing
formulas:
Costing
methods for individual pieces and collections. Lectures:History of jewelry in Wax modeling and
carving. THE
COURSE WILL CONSIST OF VARIOUS COMBINATIONS OF THE ABOVE SUBJECTS
ACCORDING TO THE STUDENTS REQUIREMENTS. PRICES: 80 Hours

To secure a
position in any of the "Bespoke" courses a Deposit of 20% of the
price of the course will be required.
