CELLINI COURSE”

This course is specifically designed for the visitor to Florence with

only a limited time available, to experience the art of Jewelry and it's place in Florentine tradition,from the time of the Renaissance to modern day. This is a hands-on experience,where the participants will realize a fully finished sterling silver,stone-set piece to take home as a reminder of their unique encounter with this facet of Florence. All materials and tools provided

Hands on assistance will be provided by Kenneth Scott at all stages of their project,lectures will be given on the history and methods employed in the craft of Jewelry making in Florence and a visit to a museum to see examples of Florentine craftsmanship.

A guided tour around Florence visiting all the pertinent sites applicable to the Guild of Goldsmiths in Florence.

A lunch to be held at a Trattoria unique to the Jeweler craftsmen of Florence.

Schedule

Monday: Work-shop orientation,lecture on Jewelry making

in Florence from the Renaissance to present day,

selection of course project.

Tuesday: Studio work on course project.

Wednesday: Field-Trip to the “Sala Argento” at the Pitti

Palace,walk across the “Ponte Vecchio” visit to a

retail out-let,trip to the Goldsmith's area, and

two course lunch with wine at the

Boco D'Orafo” Trattoria.

Thursday:Final Day. Studio work on course project,finishing setting and final polishing.

COST

400.00 includes all materials,passes

and restaurant charge.
